In this 4-week workshop we will create a Chinese Dragon in honor of The Year of the Dragon. Even if you are not into fantasy art, the Chinese Dragon is a great subject as it has physical characteristics of many animals (ours will have 9) so provides the opportunity to learn how to create several textures, including fur, scales (fish &/or snake), and antlers, how to create scale patterns, and perhaps an element or two. I will show you techniques to create a realistic (believable) dragon, however you can create it in whatever style you wish. We will be working on drafting film.
